SHASTA COUNTY, Calif. – The Department of Resource Management in Shasta County announced the launch of the county’s pre-approved Accessory Dwelling Unit Prototype Plans Program.

The agency said through funding from the state of California Department of Housing and Community Development under Senate Bill 2, seven unique ADU designs are being offered, free of charge, to property owners and contractors building in the unincorporated areas of Shasta County.
Each design has been approved for construction for up to 50lb and 70lb snow load zones.
