Flames damaged a second-story residence and the garage below at a property in the Vermont Square area of Los Angeles Saturday.
The fire was reported at 9:20 p.m. Saturday at 4712 S. Budlong Ave., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department’s Brian Humphrey.
It took 36 firefighters 21 minutes to put out the flames that started outside the garage and extended into the attic of the accessory dwelling unit, Humphrey said.
No injuries were reported.
