EAST WENATCHEE — The city of East Wenatchee is preparing to unveil its new plans to expedite the development of accessory dwelling units in the city, hoping to address issues of housing affordability plaguing the Wenatchee Valley.

The city’s building department has approved the plans for a variety of pre-approved accessory dwelling unit construction plans, allowing property owners with readily accessible blueprints that already meet all building codes, according to a city of East Wenatchee news release.
