Updated Los Altos ordinance makes it easier to build ADUs – Los Altos Town Crier

Back in November, Holt Avenue resident Cindy Andrews said she saw two oversized trailers hauling in a prefabricated 1,200-square-foot accessory dwelling unit (ADU) for the house next door. When put together, the house rose 16 feet from a 3-foot foundation and “dwarfed” her home.

The unit was set back 5 feet from the property line.
